Sharing entree at TS restaurant?

I am taking DM next May for a girls only trip to WDW. She had a lapband put in as well as gastric bypass surgery last year, so needless to say, her eating patterns are quite different than the typical visitor. There are several TS places she wants to try, but since she eats very little at each meal, we are wondering if she and I could get one entree and share it. We would probably get an appetizer too. We will not be on the Dining plan...

I know this is not allowed at a buffet place, but am not sure about the other locations.

I had Lap-Band surgery and have shared entrees with various family members at Disney Restaurants. No problems at all.
Also, I have been told that if I ask at the buffet locations I can pay the child price instead of the Adult price. This is often true here at home, and has been reported to happen at Disney also. Yeah for Disney Dining. (I will carry my lap-band card just in case.)

That is wonderful! She will be quite happy to hear that, especially about the buffet restaurants as I will be dragging her to Boma a couple of times. :)

Anyone have experience with this at the buffet restaurants at WDW? Did you just show your card to the server? Any issues doing this?
