Anyone ever share an adult entree at San Angel? Do you think it is enough food for my husband and I to share (at dinner) and be satisfied? We are not huge eaters, but do enjoy a good meal. How big are the portions here? Thanks!

Yes, we shared there late this spring. We had the queso fundido and the Filete Motuleno. It was planety of food-- very good! I think I had a frozen drink also. I would suggest arriving early and requesting a table on the water. We love that place!

I looked on Allearsnet.com at the menus, but I don't see any desserts listed for this restaurant. Can anyone tell me what's on the dessert menu? Thanks!

DH and I both cleaned our plates when we ate dinner there several months ago--he has a fairly big appetite and I have a fairly small appetite (I love to eat, but I'm a petite person)--I don't think an entree would be enough to share unless you ordered an appetizer.

My advice is to skip the entrees totally and just get a bunch of apps. The entrees there aren't great, and are expensive for what you get (mushy mexican food, LOL).

However, the apps are out of this world - Queso Fundido, the nachos, and the Sope are excellent. They aren't huge (nachos especially - if you are expecting a big Tex Mex pile you will be disapointed) but double up on one or two of them and you can have a fine meal - still costing less and tasting better than the entrees.

The Queso Fundido is just amazing...AMAZING!

I agree, definitely go for the queso fundido - absolutely gorgeous! That dish alone will make the visit worthwhile! :goodvibes

Hehe, I'm drooling thinking about it!

I almost never like the "everyone raves about" items : the cheese soup at Le Cellier (I don't like beer and like my cheese solid, LOL), Dole Whips, Mickey Bars, Turkey Legs, etc.

But the Queso is phenomenal. In fact, for the next trip I'm planning on a stop-in just for some Queso late one night as a snack. :teeth:
