Mahsha and annrae-

to both of you.
I was just looking at the listing of the various boards and quite honestly, I didn't know this one existed. I'm lucky at this point in my life that I don't have any serious health issues. However, I have/had family members who have/had issues (cancer, suicide, diabetes, heart disease to name a few) so I know a little about what you are going through.
ann, my FIL (78 yrs old) is suffering from scoliosis of the spine. He is in constant pain but he does manage to get around. By the time he went to a neurosurgeon for help, it was really too late to do anything about it. I think if he could have some type of surgery to help ease the pain, he would do it in a heartbeat. I'm not trying to scare you or talk you into anything you don't want to do but I would weigh all your options before getting too much worse. A good friend of my family was telling me about her daughter the other day and her scoliosis problem. She elected to have the surgery and apparently is doing quite well. SHe gained several inches and has said her pain was very minimal. She may just be lucky, I don't know as I don't know much about the surgery itself. Good luck to you in whatever you decide.
"Mahsha" - from ann's post, I gather your DH has cancer.

to you as well. Cancer is such an ugly beast! Sending you

to give you strength and prayers for your DH.
