Hello

Can I just check that if you want the full share holder bonuses (and you do not pay every two years to renew membership) do I have to buy 20 or 2000 shares ??? - I know, I know there is quite a difference!!!! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

When I was at the bank the other day I mentioned this and they gave me the bank's share buying dept so I might be able to do it through them - if so thought would do it there and then when have correct info!!!!

Thank you as always and sorry to bring the "shares" question up again

To become a shareholder you need to buy a minimum of 5 shares. If you buy 20 shares or more theres no charge every two years for shareholder club but i think you still hve to pay an initial amount to join.

Says me the expert who can't figure out self trade:rotfl2:

If you own 20 shares then you can apply to become a member of the Shareholders Club with nothing to pay at all.

Between 5 and 20 shares, you can join but must pay a fee every 2 years.

You have to apply to join the club - it does not come automatically with the shares.

Remember that with 20 or more shares you still have to renew membership every 2 years. Just that there is no membership fee :)

Hello again,

I really am sorry :rolleyes1

Thank you so it is 20 shares ... the next question is am I right in thinking that the price would cost around £70 if I bought 20 shares??? Seems to good to be true!!

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

Hello. I bought my 20 shares 2 days ago & with the £12.50 selftrade fee they were almost exactly £70.00, yes. I did get a bit flustered though when they told me I had to instruct them exactly how much to transfer from my debit card to my new selftrade account, before they had bought the shares for me. As the share price is moving constantly, if I didn't transfer enough, they couldn't buy the shares, but I didn't want to go too much over either, as I'm not going to buy any more shares. They were not allowed to tell me how much they thought I should move.:)

Oh thank you :thanks:

It just seemed quite cheap to buy them for the perks you get.

I will ring the Bank next week and if get no joy will pluck up the courage to go through self trade! One more question ... do you have their telephone number?

They've not always been as cheap, but they've come down loads over the last few months. When I first started looking at them they were about 5.50Euros each. Now's definitely a good time to buy, I just need to get my finger out and do it now :rotfl:

Hello
It was Lloyds Bank.
I have not rung up yet but was given a share dealing telephone number of 0845 60 60 560 - www.lloydstsbsharedealing.com

Hello, yes some banks tend to only deal on our stock exchange. These are obviously Paris. Selftrade is very easy.

Hi, wish I'd known about this before i booked yesterday, I don't suppose you can join and ahve the discount applied retrospectively?

I don't think they will apply it retrospectively, but it is still worth thinking about as you get 15% off table service meals and 15% in shops. If you're anything like me - that's a good saving. :goodvibes

If you booked online or got the 40% deal then you would not be able to use the Shareholder's discount.

Even more confused now but thank you, I will check when I ring up next week.
:thanks:

Euro Disney shares used to be traded on the London Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange and Paris Stock Exchange.
Subsequently the shares were withdrawn from the other exchanges and are now only traded in Paris. Many banks in the UK only deal with the London Stock Exchange.

Hello Carpgirl!!

I rang Selftrade and they said I had to set up an account first, which they are posting the documents out to me .... did you have to do this first?

When the account is set up I can then ring and buy the shares!!!
