how long does it take to get it?
how much ?

Hi, there is a massive thread on here on how to buy shares - i'll add it when I find it.

Basically you need to buy shares through a broker - I used Halifax. I signed up online - deposited money in the online account using my debit card (I'm not a Halifax customer). Once my deposit was confirmed I bought the shares.

When the transaction was confirmed I printed out the contract note as proof of my shares and then completed the application from for the shareholders website, scanned my contract note and sent both by email to the club address.

A few weeks letter and my shiny card arrived in the post

I've just bought my shares today


I'm only slightly excited! Have been putting it off for months waiting for the price to drop but I finally went for it!

I'm glad to hear that you emailed your form as I've just done that in the hope that it would work. Our old printer had a fax in it, I thought this one did too, but if it does it's hiding it well

You say that you emailed a contract note - how do I get one of those? I sent the form plus a copy of my dealing history with Halifax showing the 20 shares (bought today - did I mention that?!!) as I had read that this is what someone else did. Should i have been more patient and posted the form?

No, I got the contract note from the Halifax website. I just printed it and then re-scanned to email.

I found the contract note (while I was on the phone to Halifax to find out how to get one!) and have re-emailed the scanned form with the scanned contract note to the dlp.actionnaires email address.
How long did it take them to reply and can you remember how long it took for the card to come through? Due to my procrastination if it takes 6 weeks it will be sitting on the doormat for when I get back from DLP

It can take a few weeks, but you can call or email the shareholders team and they will send you a letter which shows your membership until your actual card comes through.

I did this, but ended up getting my card before I went. I think it took a couple of weeks, but I know others have reported it took longer.

I'd contact them and ask for a letter as temporary membership - you'll be able to use this in the park no problem.

I recently bought shares and joined the shareholder club, I received an email the next day after faxing off the forms and received my lovely shareholder card about 2 weeks later!! whoop whoop
I was so surprised that it came so quick so you might be lucky too
