HI

Does anyone have any thoughts about which website id best if you want to make an online album of photos to share with family / friends etc?

Are there any to steer clear of? :coffee:

Thanks!!

I've got a couple of albums on the Kodak site :)

Some of the photos have been on there since 2004 and they're still accessible :thumbsup2

Be sure you read and understand the voluminous terms and conditions each of these sites have for use of their services. Generally, what I've found, is that the ones that don't require you to pay a monthly or annual fee offer few if any guarantees regarding availability, reliability, etc. These sites generally have provisions that include deleting of your images if (for example) you don't purchase prints from them often enough.

I use Yahoo! Small Business, which charges $14.95 per month, but I understand that Yahoo Web Hosting charges only $11.95 per month (less for the first few months, I think).

If you're just looking for temporary posting of photos, then there are a variety of sites that satisfy: photobucket.com and imageshack.us are the two most popular.

I use Photoback and have done since I joined the Dis. I really like it. Very easy to add to and to link to.

I use a combination of Yahoo photos (get it free with the broadband) and webshots (no cost but limited space - better for linking pictures directly into your posts. A pay option is available)
