Hi There,
Just thought I would start another photo thread, I am interested in seeing your costumes you have used for MNSSHP in the past. If you have no photos, I am interested in hearing your ideas. I know we aren't going until next year, just couldn't swing it this year but hoping for some good ideas so we can do some shopping this Halloween, thought that would be good, looking for Disney related costumes, hope to hear from all of you and see some photos. Can't wait.

We didn't get to go to MNSSHP last year.....but here's our DD as Pocohontas.

Very cute photos, hope to see more. These are great ideas. Love them. :)

GREAT PHOTO CHAP7! I love it!

Everyone has seen mine a ton of times.... nothing really original, but this is my favorite picture i've ever taken at Disney.

These 2 are from MNSSHP 2003 (these were scanned because they were taken before we purchased our digital camera, so they're a little fuzzy)

Along these lines, my son wants to be Lightning McQueen for Halloween. Any thoughts on how to make a costume for him that won't be cumbersome or too hot during MNNSHP?

The Disney Store actually has a "stuffed" Lightening McQueen that fits over the kids body. It's held up by suspender type straps. He would actually look like a race car driver inside the car.... They are pretty cute.

We a group of adults going for the first time this year!

There's 5 of us- me, DH, DMIL, and two of DH's co-workers that we're incredibly close with.

We wanted to go as a group that coordinated. I'm going as Alic; DH as the Mad Hatter; DMIL as the Queen of Hearts; Kristi as the White Rabbit (she wanted soemthing a little sexy); and Tucker as a playing card.

We're so excited! We're already working on them! :rotfl: See what happens when you haven't dressed up since 7th grade?!

Your idea sounds great, we are a group of adults going to and would like to coordinate but just am not sure what to do, are you home making your costumes or buying them. Just curious.

We'll be going to MNSSHP for the first time this Oct. My favorite idea so far for my family is for the kids & me to be the three little pigs & for DH to be the big bad wolf. I'm having a hard time with logistics, tho. We'll be there for the 10/10 party, so it'll probably still be hot. I'm afraid pig noses & a wolf hat will get really hot.

Second idea is for DD to be Jasmine (she still has the costume we bought last trip) and DS to be Aladdin (found a cute custom made costume on ebay). Then, DH & I would just wear an Aladdin themed tee shirt, maybe made on Zazzle.

My son is convinced he wants to be an Army man. (because of his Dad of course). I was thinking about getting child sized BDU's (at the clothing store on base) getting a name tag made and some rank, etc. I told him he would be hot, but he said he would just roll his sleeves up!
I found an awesome pirate/wench costume in a catalog that would be good for me. Just not sure I want to drop $140 yet!
I love all the pics. Keep em coming!

Probably as Willy Wonka (the Gene Wilder version), since that's the 'best' costume I have on hand right now. May be a bit stuffy with long pants, a long shirt, overcoat, and hat, so we'll see!

Oh, what a great idea!!!!!! Who'da thought of the bride from Haunted Mansion?

My family of 6 adults (Me, DH, sister, brother in law, mother and father)are all going to be Survivors from the CBS show. We are going to make our own buffs and have one of us wear an immunity idol! I think my dad will be Jeff, he will probably won't wear a costume! This will be our first trip to WDW as a family, and we will be going to MNSSHP on the 10th of Oct. My two girls are going to be Jamine and Cinderella. Oh I can't wait!

I went back in 2000 and had no idea what to expect. So you can see a hastily thrown together Minnie get-up in my signature.

I'll be there on Sept 21st (omg! NEXT Friday!!!) with my mother and we are going as the two chicks from the stretching room. I'll be Lillian & she'll be Mrs. Gracey.

That is, if I ever get the sewing machine up and running.

Will definitely post pics. I can't wait to hear some reports from this Friday's party....

Last year DS, DH and I were Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and wendy. We were picked for the Halloween Parade, a fete I can never top.

This year we will be Herules (DS) Megara (me) and Hades (DH).
