I've tried the wet neck towels and they drive me nuts - thought I'd try these although "recooling" them seems to be a project unless you have a stroller to carry a cooler with ice packs? Do they work well enough to bother? /// These are on sale today with the carrier and 10% if you check the box. Hopefully, a couple $1 ice packs from Walmart will fit in the carrier.

Any other tips?

Are you local or only visiting for one day? If you're going longer will you have access to a freezer? It seems once the ice packs melt how would you refreeze for the next day? I'd probably just bring a ziploc bag or two and fill with ice from the hotel daily.

I personally don't find anything around my neck cooling. So I opt for a fan, a UV umbrella and a mid day break.

It's not super convenient to carry, but once when it was really hot my friend got us each one of those water bottles with a fan attached. It was very helpful.

My number one tip for keeping cool is to be going to DLR and not WDW in the first place! 🤣 I don't think I've ever been overly warm at DLR. I've even been a little chilly! Of course, I come from a warmer area.

This is kind of like the fans my friends got us. I don't like carrying anything extra so I wear a hat and this can go around your neck or you can just hold it.
Have you used it much? Does it fold to be compact?

I like to freeze a few water bottles and bring those in my daypack. For one, they will sit against my back and feel cool for quite some time. And two, as they melt you have super cold ice-water for most of the day.

Also a fan of freezing water bottle but wrap in aluminum foil. Then you can use the foil to wrap items if needed.

Also I bring a small personal fan, that doubles as a phone charger and flashlight, found on amazon.

And last but not least indoor attractions: tiki room, pirates, HM, MMRR, Muppets, Little mermaid, Animation Academy, Train to cool off.

I'd suggest ziploc bags. You can fold some up in a fanny pack.
Grab some ice from the CS. You can add some water to it and pop your cool towel in it. You can put the bag of ice on your neck or down your shirt. l do this all summer. Hope that helps.🌞

No, I only used it once and gave it back to my friend. I'm typically not too bothered by heat-- cold is what gets me and I find anything below 75 chilly :teeth:. But we went to Dapper Day one year when it was scorching hot and in our Dapper clothes we needed cooling! My friend had ordered the fans since we knew it was supposed to get hot but ours didn't fold and weren't just like the one I linked. I thought that one gave an idea of a fan that cooled with water and I liked that it had a lanyard but it would be good to explore further as I'm sure there are many types.

Neck fans saved our lives (or at least sanity) when we went last July. There are so many to choose from. We used these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08911JGGW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Invest in very good sun hats and sunglasses. I love this hat:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FXIDRV2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Change your socks and shoes when you take your hotel break. Bombas socks are great

Freeze water bottles and bring them into the park. Maybe put them in a baggie though so they don't get your other items wet.

Take a hotel break during the hottest part of the day or plan indoor ADRs or indoor rides like Small World

I use a mister water bottle. I have a Lunatec and an 02Cool. They work great. You can even put ice in them.

I also have some cooling wipes that work REALLY well, they're just called "Cool Off Wipes," but I got them years ago and haven't been able to find the same brand since. Although Amazon does sell some different brands that I haven't tried.

The first step which most people miss is attire. Cotton is your enemy. "Dri-fit" or other similar materials allow perspiration to evaporate much faster and this is what helps you cool. Avoid cotton on top and on the bottom.

Footwear. Shoes and socks are a no-go. There are many sandals and flip flops out there that will work for just about anyone. Yes, it might take some research and yes, you need to break them in first. But once you do, this will help tremendously. OluKai, Teva and Reef are three brands that work for me.

I wet then drape a cooling towel (one from Disneyland) over my head, and then put my white baseball hat over it.

I have an around-the-neck fan that recharges with a USB cord. I use it all day, then charge it at night while I'm sleeping. I'm not sure of the exact one I got as it's been a year now, but similar to: https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Bla...qid=1722557730&sprefix=fan+nec,aps,157&sr=8-7 (Holy long link, Batman!)

I do indoor things over the hottest part of the day: Tiki, Animation Academy, Philharmagic, etc. Only issue here is that everyone else has the same idea, haha. I'll also consider going on rides with long indoor queues like Soarin' or Indy. Of course, the caveat is that it's standing in a long line!

Depending on the length of the line and if I have DAS or G+ (whatever the dang new names are) on a specific visit, I'll try to time a ride on Grizzly, and ask to sit on one of the opening seats. For what it's worth, I always bring flip-flops for this so I'm not walking around in wet shoes.

It's always a great excuse for all the ice cream you can eat!

My main strategy is to grow up and live in Phoenix so you can laugh at people talking about the “heat” in SoCal.
This is me! I’m in Tucson and I’m like let’s do the 105 with the humidity from monsoons.

That being said- definitely neck fans, cooling towels, and rides/shows indoors or with long indoor queues. It’s a small world and pirates are great longer rides for sitting and cooling off.

For staying cool at Disneyland, try using a battery-powered neck fan, freezing water bottles to stay cool and hydrated, wearing a sun hat, and taking breaks in air-conditioned attractions.
