Share the Magic with the staff!!!

I just got off the ship and I have post vacation depression! Anyway, I have a friend that used to work on the Wonder and she gave me some inside tips. Apparantly the staff eats a lot of sandwiches, rice and pasta. They don't eat like WE eat, that's for sure. Anyway, the first night I got a birthday cake for my son and we were much too full to eat it. We wrapped it up and took it to the kids club for the workers. They were SO THRILLED to have the cake that they thanked me over and over. So every chance I got I smuggled some cakes from pirate night and dessert buffet night into the kids clubs. (do this at night) I also brought fruit platters to my stateroom host (that's what he likes). So spread the pixie dust and "hook up" the staff. They're HUNGRY! Everytime I brought cake to the kids clubs they almost had a tear in their eye.

Also, the staff used to be able to buy alcohol by the bottle but they are no longer allowed. They have to buy it by the glass and of course, they can't afford to do it that way. I don't think you are "supposed" to by them a bottle for a gift BUT, I don't KNOW that for a fact

Regarding the alcohol...on our first cruise our server always shared tips for the next day's port after dinner. Our table mates asked him where the best place for liquor was in St. Thomas & he just smiled. We asked him what his favorite was & he said that the crew couldn't purchase any there but he preferred JW Black. LOL! When asked if he could accept a bottle if someone else purchased it, he grinned & said yes.

These people work so hard for such long hours. They deserve a little drink at the end of a long shift!

Hey all, well I was on the western magic cruise April 23th-30th, and DJ Pike, Travis, Doug or Dougy as I call him now and Que were on it, well I talked to all of em every day for at least a half hour and omg let me tell you I like fell in love with them all lol, they are all so nice and funny DJ Pike is like the best DJ I've ever met, Travis I think he is so hot, Doug just is him self when i talked to him and he was funny and Que, aww I don't know what to say about him but, he is just Que gotta love him. Well anyway I was wondering who else on these message boards has talked to them and which one you like the best and I know there has gotta be a person who like's one of them so much they know there work scedule lol, i know my friend told me she wanted to go on the disney cruise agian just to see travis, oh stole some chicken for travis on the cruise b/c he asked me to b/c we were tight and all ya know ya know
