For those who do not care if they're right "there" or "upfront" for this parade but still wish to see it, I went to MK yesterday (6/9/06) we went to Tom Sawyer Island -my DS and DH ran all thru the island while my DGM and I sat on the rocking chairs in front of Polly's and had Coke Floats while watching the Share a dream come true parade perfectly from the rocking chairs. I have seen this parade before upfront and with the sun and everything I couldnt barely see the characters in the globes from the glare, but from TSI in the rocking chairs it was very clear to see and more enjoyable. The sounds of the parade however were pretty hard to hear obviously being quite a distance away, but it was fine by me :)

That's a good tip, thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

That sounds like the perfect location to sit and relax while watching the parade! Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

:cool1: great tip! we have never gone onto the island this would be perfect....our last parade experience wasn't to great and that was 6 years ago...now we just skip it...... :rolleyes1

Sounds like a relaxing and cool way to enjoy the parade. Thanks for sharing this tip.

You're all very welcomed, I came upon all that by accident. After walking all around and DH and DS wanted to run around TSI -I was like not us! My DGM is 79 yrs old and that was her first trip to Disney and I knew she needed a sit down break too -so I was quite surprised when we were sitting there and all of a sudden I saw the parade and my first thought literally was "I gotta share this tip on DIS" lol. I am making it my goal by going to MK A LOT and learning more about it, finding the hidden mickey's from my guide book and hopefully finding some not mentioned. We live in the Tampa Bay area so it makes it easier for me to go there a lot, and I got to thinking last month with the costs raising all around, we go out to eat every friday night and I told my hubby our dinner costs more then buying one ticket at Disney and I would gladly forgo eating out friday nights to spend one day a month at Disney. 3 weeks of eating out = 1 day for my DH, DS and I to go to Disney. 4th week eating out cost = can be spent on gas. I think i've got bitten by the Disney Bug bad after reading this.... oh well :)
