Hi Paul, we really enjoyed the shamu rocks show last year, may try the dinner show this time. I've looked on the website if you look at the park hours and schedule page it gives times of shows, meals etc but only up to 3rd August as yet.
Hi Paul,
Did the Shamu Rocks Dinner last May but have to say that although we enjoyed the dinner, we wouldn't bother again.
It was great meeting some of the trainers in person & they are very informative, food was excellent too & you could eat as much as you wanted but....it felt really uncomfortable watching this majestic creature simply swimming round & round in a small pool.
It certainly allows you to have a very close up view of Shamu but as it's a holding pen there isn't a great deal of room for the poor whale to do anything.
With the shows you get a feeling that they are enjoying performing but with the dinner, we felt it was more exploitation than anything else, as I said before left us feeling very uncomfortable
We also did the Safari lunch at Busch Gardens which was outstanding & we highly recommend this if you get the chance
Don't want to put you off as you might feel differently but that was our feelings anyway.
Good luck with what you decide
Trudi
I have to agree with you on that one, we did the shamu rocks dinner show thing last year and food/dining area was very poor, so much so I went and got a full refund for it. Show is great though.
