Well, today I set the alarm and got a wake up call for 6:15. My flight is at 10:25 and Sis is a few minutes later, so ME is picking us up at 7:50. There isnt time for a real breakfast, so I went over to the Boardwalk Bakery hoping to use up our last 4 CS credits and 4 snack credits. The CS offerings for breakfast were lousy, so I got one egg sandwich (which ended up getting tossed after one bite) and a couple of muffins and a last cheese Danish. We had our last morning on the patio with our coffee and pastries, and then got down to business. I tossed the last of the stuff from the fridge, found a gentlemen willing to take our laundry detergent, and left the remaining beers, waters and sodas for housekeeping, and I hope they could use them. Then it was up to catch the bus, and we were whisked away in mere moments. Goodbye Boardwalk! See you soon!
Overall, this trip went much, much better than I could have hoped. Sis and I got along beautifully which is shocking in and of itself! Having a 2 bedroom villa was a luxury that I loved every second, and our room location turned out to be just fabulous for the type of vacation we made this. The weather was ridiculously perfect, and I know it can never get any better than that! Even though it was hot, it was not humid except for Day 5. The only rain we saw was the crazy storm when we were waiting to check in, and the evenings were just glorious.
People in general were much more laid back than some of our trips, and it made for a very relaxing atmosphere everywhere. Lines were short, and I saw NO major meltdowns by over tired kiddos. The CMs we dealt with were mostly superb, and seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. The service we received on the DDP was as good as, or better than I have come to expect. Other than the menu changes that I knew about in advance, there were no disappointments or problems with the DDP. Well, except for the fact that I didnt manage it well and had 3 leftover CS credits
. Even so, we saved a bundle while eating some great meals.
All in all, this was truly a Magical Trip and a very special opportunity to spend quality time with Sis. It probably sounds trite, but considering we have been sisters for close to half a century, this was our first opportunity to spend quality time together in such a relaxing environment!
