It's Double Digit Day!

mickey_minnie_dance.gif

Was wondering how I can make this day a bit more special for MrNeo when he gets home from work. We've both been ill the past week so haven't had a chance to prepare anything. Any spur of the moment ideas (without going to the shops)?

Hope you are both feeling better now. Can you whip up a nice dinner? It doesn't have to be fancy, but you could set the table nicely. Or just order his favourite take out to be delivered when he gets in.

"shall we dance" you ask.....Ummmmm YEAH?!?! :cool1::cool1:

Tra la laaaaa :banana::cool1::banana:

I like the take-out idea too - can never go wrong with that :goodvibes Whatever you do decide to do though, I hope you enjoy!

Merry double-digit day :)

x

Oh, oh, oh!!!! I hope I'm not too late, but I forgot to mention the wine. (It's good for dancing too ;))

I'm dancing! :cool1::banana::dance3:

Re celebrating, I do an American theme dinner- burgers, ribs, cornbread that type of thing! Followed by a sundae (beaches and cream style) or smores. :love:

Or watch a Disney film.

Or watch the Disney planning DVD . . . we had that on last night actually, always builds the mood!!!!:goodvibes

American food and planning DVD is a great idea! :thumbsup2 Waiting to see what you ended up deciding. :)

We just had simple bangers and mash for dinner, but I shaped the mash into a Mickey :) Just a little thing, but he loved it.
Might see if I can dig out that Disney vacation planning DVD... no idea where it's gone too. or maybe we'll just watch some of our previous trip's DVD. :happytv:

That's even better! :thumbsup2 Love the Mickey Mash idea!

Ooo, I wasn't aware of this - thanks for bringing this to my attention. I think I'll just go and make a mickey shaped sandwich...

Neoshoegal: Hope you both enjoyed your bangers and mash a la Monsieur Mickey :goodvibes

yay! i'll dance :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Mickey mash = great idea, will be copying that for DD.

We had boma recipe curry for tea tonight.

From one South Yorkshire girl to another. :banana::banana::cool1::cool1:

You made me add mine up and i missed my double digit dance by 2 days so :banana::banana::cool1: to me too

Happy planning
Ali

I thought you were going to the OKW meet on 26th August :confused3

I am coming to the OKW meet in August. Our trip in August is for a work's convention, not a Disney trip, it just happens that the convention is at the Dophin resort. Our trip in October is our proper vacation of the year. :)

Oh right, lucky you ;)

Oh right, lucky you ;)

true

but on the other hand consider this:
1. the journey there will take forever as we fly via New York and have an overnight stopover. Well, we should arrive in New York around 8.30pm and our flight out to Orlando is 6am the next morning

2. I have to prepare a seminar for the convention. It's my first time speaking at an international convention. I'm trying not to be nervous, but there is quite a lot riding on this. Must do well... oh bugger, I'm gonna be so nervous!
:scared1:

3. For 3 and a half days I'll be inside going to seminars from early morning until late at night, all to collapse on Friday morning with an information overload headache.

4. I'm so close to Disney, but yet so far away too as I won't get to enjoy the parks.

On the plus side:
1. As I'm a speaker, my airline ticket and hotel room for 3 nights are paid for. Plus I don't have to pay the convention fee and neither does MrNeo! All of that saves us about £1000.

2. I did book some ADRs Whispering Canyon Cafe, Kona Cafe and a character breakfast at the Grand Floridian.

3. After the convention, we are flying home via Boston, but will be spending a few days on Cape Cod to celebrate our wedding anniversary with friends.
