Shaking my fist at the PIN Gods

I have frantically tried and wished and hoped to get a PIN code the last few years -- all to no avail.
And then today -- finally......... FINALLY! :cool1: I just opened my email and the much wished for PIN code sits in my email. I felt like it was Christmas morning even though I couldn't use it b/c it's for this year and I can't go this year, but still I was excited because it means I actually EXIST on the Great Pin List - thus there is hope for me to get a PIN code in the future. :thumbsup2

UNTIL.....I look at the name on the email and it's not addressed to me, but to my father. We went to WDW in April and I booked both of our trips (separate reservations, but I used the same credit card and email addy to book.) :(:worried: WHY can't **I** get a PIN -- WHY!?!??! :mad:

I feel your pain. My boss gets them at least once a year, every year. I have yet to get any. Then when I call and ask if I have any pins attached to my name, they tell me they can't give me any info because I'm booked through a TA. :confused3
 
Well I'm a big dummy. I got one for the first time this year and screwed up my dates calling one day too late to use it. Banging my head on a wall...
 

:rolleyes:I got a pin code but everything is full for our dates. I will check in the morning to see if my current ressie can be changed.
 
I got a pin the first time we went in 2010 but have not gotten one since:confused3
 
I have tried everything and have stayed on site, but no pin. My mom received a pin via email today and she has not been to Disney since 1999 (before she had her email account), did not stay on site then, has not ordered a DVD - has done nothing! :confused3 I am hoping she'll get another one that as she is planning on going with us on our trip next August and I could easily book under her name for that reason....this Pin was for the remainder of 2012 and we are unable to use it.

Then have your TA check for you. My TA found a free-dining PIN attached to our name last year. Good luck!
 
We got our first one this year too, but then when free dining was released it was a better deal for us so we didn't get to use the PIN either. I sure hope we get another one for Spring next year.....but I doubt it. After years of going to Disney, saving vacations on the WDW site, doing the in park surveys and ordering the trip DVD I have only received one PIN. I obviously am not very high on the PIN list LOL
 
just fyi...I was super frustrated this morning as well when I got a pin addressed to someone else so I called the ressie #, knowing I couldn't use it but nicely asked why it keeps happening. The CM was extremely helpful, pulled up my email address and removed all the other names associated with my email. Hopefully, this will fix the problem and the next time a pin comes in it will be in my name! It's worth a try right???

Done that a couple of times. I still get them, but not as many.

Wouldn't it be just as easy (albeit a bit more costly) to just legally change your name to the persons name that keeps getting the PIN codes at your address.....:rotfl2:
