Shady pools

We just came back from our first trip with our son at BLT. He is almost 2 and is very sensitive to the sun. We were thrilled to discover that after 5:30-6 pm the pool is completely in the shade since the sun is on the other side of the hotel. Can anyone think of any other pools (main pools or quiet pools) that are well shaded either in the morning or before the sun goes down?

The quiet pool behind the Villas of Wilderness Lodge also is shady in the evening as the sun goes down behind the Villas.

the main pool at POR is partially shady not because of building - but the trees (even the fake one)

i have the same problem - so it is early morning swim (despite the signs) or early evening swimming. (which is hard to do for a child)

of course with early morning swim - then you have to get the child out of it - not always an easy situation.

POR definitely has some shade, as well as AKV/L. There's plenty of trees there...

not carribbean beach pools for sure! the casitas quiet pool at coronado is pretty shady.

I don't remember the pool being in the shade at all though at AKL, but we haven't stayed there in 3 years. Has something changed?

The Grotto Pool at the Swan & Dolphin has a cave in back of the waterfall with lounges in it. I love it back there. Nice and cool and shady.

Agree, especially the quiet pools in the Alligator Bayou section.

Not necessarily the whole pool, but with all the trees around there's plenty of shade at both Jambo, & more so at Kidani. Depending what time of day the pool will have some shade.
