My family and I are planning a trip to Disney the end of this month and I was wondering if I could get into SOG by riding the bus from the TTC or MK. If we can take the bus, will we still have to show ID to get on the bus or through the gate or onto the property? I have heard some good reviews about SOG. Is it a good hotel to stay at? Do the buses take you to MK directly or do they drop you off at the TTC? Thanks for the help :earsgirl:

SOG is an awesome property, sadly I can no longer stay there (no longer with the military) but when we did stay there the bus dropped you off at the TTC and we found that it was just as easy to walk to the Poly and get on the monorail if we were heading to the MK.

This is a beautiful hotel. I thought the grounds and the newly renovated rooms were fantasic.
They give you a pass to get on the bus, but it's not checked and the AC wasn't working that great when we were there last Nov. I would seriously think of renting a car if you stay at this resort, if so, ask for the new section which it next to the parking garage. You still would get free parking at all of the disney parks. You will save money by renting a car. If you use Mears shuttle it's 30.00 dollars per person.
The pools are really nice and kept very clean like everything else at this resort. Magino's is a very nice restaurant also.

We stayed at SOG last year and will be returning in a couple of weeks. It's a beautiful property and everyone is very nice. We found it easiest to walk to the Poly and take the monorail from there. It's not too far and the trail is easy to follow. Enjoy your trip!
