Shades of Green - Pool Hopping

Is it okay to pool hop to the poly if you are a shades of green resort guest? Has anyone tried this? Did anyone stop you or ask if you are a poly guest?

Pool hopping is not allowed between any of the resorts at WDW except for the Port Orleans resorts and the All Stars. Or if you are a DVC member staying on points. You could very well be asked and if you were already swimming be asked to leave. Which could be extremely embarrassing!

If you stay at SOG, you may only swim at the SOG pool. Some resorts do check ID; I've seen security ask people for their resort IDs at the WL pool, and I've seen them ask folks to leave if they can't produce a WL/VWL ID.

The resort pools are simply not large enough to accommodate people who are not staying at the resort.
