Shades of Green / Contempory stay.

Our second trip to Disneyworld we booked a room at the Comtempory. At first I was leery about staying at the oldest WDW resort (credit given to the Disney Inn) I have heard many comments about the Contempory being old and outdated. Well my family of 5 could not have had a better time, 10 days of "right in the middle of Disney" at it's best. This resort will be always a favorite of mine from now on.

The view from the roof top there of the fireworks from the MK, and the distant Illuminations and Fantasmic created one of those memories that will never be forgotten. The "sound" of the music (let alone the depth of the view) from the water parade heard at the rooftop was better than at the beach. The echo and the acoustics of the show was enhanced at that height and gave us all a unforgettable memory that will last a lifetime. The sight of the Monorail gliding over from the MK, the parasail off in the distance on Bay lake and the thunderhead backlighting the Poly and GF with lighting at night was a magical moment in itself.

Every night we had to end the day with a trip up to the roof as it was so quite, peaceful, a perfect way to end the day.
There "might" be newer and better MKA resorts to stay at.
None can put you in the middle and above of the kingdom like the Contempory can.

yes we did and this was just the few minutes we spent on the roof.
oh and by the way, judging by your picture, next time your on Primeval Whirl, try to have a little fun. lol

Although I haven't stayed at the CR since I was a kid and barely remember it, we had dinner at CG in June and got to enjoy the fireworks and water parade from the roof. It's just awsome. I want to stay at CR before my DVC days soon. Thanks for your report!

Contemporary will always be DH's favorite resort. And I sure love it too!
