Shade of Green in Spring 2004

Does anyone know if Shades of Green will be open in March of 2004? My friend is planning a trip and is thinking of taking her military sister along so they can stay there? I read somewhere that it is under rehab and that they are letting military stay in other resorts. Any information on that would be appreciated.

Sorry, I don't know the rehab schedule. I'm sure someone else here has it.

What I do know is that SOG guests get rooms at the Contemporary while SOG is being rehab'ed. So if SOG isn't opened yet I would think the CR would be one heck of a deal at the military SOG room rates!

Unless they play golf, in which case having the Magnolia and Palms golf courses a few steps away from the SOG would be just too convenient to pass up.

This is the SOG website and it says that March 2004 is still the expected reopening date.

Does anyone know what size the Contemporary would accomodate. They will now be six with her sister. Could they get two rooms? I will check the CR site I guess and get an idea. Thanks!

When you book into Shades, you're allowed to book up to three rooms.

However, I'm not sure that they're working that way right now.

Shades is saying that they'll be reopening (supposedly) at the beginning of March. I have a reservation there at the latter part of March- and although I've been notified and moved for January and Febuary, I haven't heard about March yet.

I'd call now if I were your friend's military sister though..... they fill up really quickly.

You are probably too late to try to book for March. I just tried to schedule for Mid-April 2004 and they are all booked up. Your options are to go on a wait list for an opening or to ask about SOG discount at other resorts.

I just booked Sog for March 12-21, 2004. They are supposed to open March 1st, 2004.
