SF help

DBF and I will be in San Fran from 12/26-30.
I know that on 12/29 we will be at the Niners game.
What is a good hotel?
Good places to eat?

I like the Handlery Hotel in Union Sq. Can't help otherwise since we usually stay East bay and take BART into the city.

We love, love, love the Washington St. Bakery and Restaurant on Washington St. in China Town.

Other than that, we always make a point of not eating at a chain. There are several threads on eating in SFO that have popped up here over the past year.

The Garlic Rose is very popular
I like Fishermans Grotto at the Wharf
Classic old SFO - Aliottos at the Wharf

Have fun, great time to be in the city with all the decorations

Oh I can imagine. I am going to be in San Francisco this weekend for a womans seminar and although I am only 45 miles from there I haven't been in the city for years.
