Sex and the City's clothes

I've just started watching Sex and the City recently, but I have read all these articles in the past about the clothes on the show. I have to say that I hate how SJP character dresses. Nothing she wears on the show tempts me. Most of the time I look at her and think "what were they thinking?"

Whats the deal with her bra showing out? I'm not talking about the straps, I'm talking about the entire back of the bra. I've seen that "look" on at least 2 episodes recently. It's like she doesn't realize her top is backless or something.

The thing about those clothes, is only these characters could wear them and pull them off. If the average woman walked down the street in what SJP wears as Carrie, they'd be considered a freak.

I do love her sense of style, though. She just has that look about her that screams for creative license, and she wears it well.

I bought a pair of pink scholl sandles that SJP wore in an episode last session. Have to say that they look fab but kill your feeet. Suppose that is the price of fashion!!!!!

I think SJP's clothes are HIDEOUS for the most part. That Prada dress she wore a couple episodes ago...... gross! The sad part is, it must have cost a fortune!!

I tend to like Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, those types of designers.....

I have to agree ~ I love that show but what is with her clothes. And, for the most part it is only her clothes. The other girls look decent. What was with that white see through blouse and those shorts/skirt underneath. It looked like all you could see were the pockets hanging out!

I love some of SJ's outfits, and hate some. Its like fashion roulette

I wouldn't think of wearing my skinny jeans out of the house. I couldn't believe that Miranda wore a pair of 1985 jeans to a club opening.

SJP's clothes... blech, but she has nice shoes. What's with the tighty whitey's she always wore last season?

I'm really crazy about the accessories like the shoes and the bags ESPECIALLY the bags. But alot of the clothes I can do without.

What the heck was SJP wearing in this past Sunday's episode? She looked like a bag lady in that first outfit. Charotte always dresses very nice. SJP clothes are hideous.

I wouldn't mind her jewlery or other accessories, but most of her clothing I would leave in her closet.

Don't you all just love those tissue paper, "kindergartenesque" flowers that she wears? Especially when they are on her head?

Zurg, her shoes would only work for you if she chose to wear them to an amusement park, or does the fact that she wears them all over NYC count, too?
