Sewage Hookup in Popup site?

This might be a strange question, we always tent camp or rent popups. We are looking to go in October but I will hopefully be pregnant by then and now we are looking at renting a hybrid trailer. I know that the popup/tent sites don't have a sewage drain, but does that mean that we wouldn't be able to use the bathroom in the camper, or it would just go to a holding tank? Sorry if this is a bit strange of a question.

I do not know what the FW campground policy is, but I would think you are correct. Sewage would be directed into the black tank, so no harm no foul! Some of the more experienced RV/popup campers will be chiming in soon! :goodvibes

Just rent a full hook up site, and you will have nothing to worry about. If you dont, you will have to break down the camper and tow it to the dump station ............maybe several times through the vaca to empty the "black tank" . I am not sure if the Fort will even let you run Grey without a full hook-up site ?

Oh and BTW, you might want to consider changing the title of the thread to ........... "Sewer Hookup in a tent/pop up site" vs "sewage in a tent/pop up site" . That just doesnt sound right ! :crazy2:

If you rent a tent/Partial site (which as you say has no sewer hook), yes it would be directed into the black tank. You could still USE the bathroom though.

Any other type of site you rent will have a sewer hook and the vendor will likely use it instead of the tank.

The tanks on a camper don't hold a lot. So if you're there for longer than a weekend it won't hold it all. We can get 1 and 1/2 maybe 2 showers in our gray tank. 3 to 4 days in the black tank.

Also whatever you leave, the camper owner has to deal with. He may charge extra for his time. Or he may require you to have a site with sewer.

Thanks guys. It wouldn't get used a whole lot, more so thinking of middle of the night pees. We don't have any issues with the comfort stations and would be mainly using those.

We camp occasionally at campsites without sewer hookups. As long as you mainly use the comfort station for showers and daytime toilet breaks you'll be just fine. Limitng yourself to nightime potty breaks in the camper should get you through a week no problem. Be aware that dishwashing, handwasing, etc. can fill up the gray water tank very quickly too.

We've used our pop up with no other bathrooms available before, and a family of 5 can go maybe 3 days or so. That being said, if you get loop 1500 (which is awesome BTW), the comfort station is close at hand and shouldn't be a problem for a longer trip without dumping the tanks.

We were just at the fort and had full hook ups only because our rental trailer wouldn't fit loop 1500, and we still make everyone go to the comfort station frequently except at night.

Not sure what the rates are, but it if it's a big difference I think you'll be fine without a full hook up. Pregnancy can throw some surprises though...

One more thing about waste water in partial hookup sites (loops 1500 and 2000), if you need to dump black or grey water there isn't a dedicated dump station in the Fort.....BUT...you can call the front desk, explain your situation, and they can direct you to an empty full hookup site where you can dump your waste water.
If you have removable waste tanks (porta-potty or grey water) without wheels, for my next trip to the fort I thought I would bring a folding wheeled luggage cart upon which the full tanks could be strapped...sure beats trying to carry a heavy tank around the loop.

Dish washing - almost forgot to mention that there is a deep sink in the comfort station laundry room and it is my understanding that it's purpose was to serve as a dish washing sink.
