Severe Weather

We have been sitting in our third floor OKW unit this morning listening to tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings all morning, with probably more of same to come tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is any plan in place at OKW for tornado warnings or if anyone knows if there is a safer place to go rather than sitting in third floor unit. We are about as far from hospitality house as you can get, so running over there really isn't an option either.

What type of unit are you in? From our 1BR stays, I'd go to that hallway that leads from the living room to the bedroom--interior and no windows. Otherwise, the bathroom is probably safest.

Good question! I don't have an answer for you ... but how about introducing yourselves to the folks on 1st floor. Perhaps they'll extend an invitation to join them ...?

The laundry room is probably even better.

OP, just turn on the TV and monitor a local channel.

Thanks for suggestions. We were in a two-bedroom unit, but are moving to a one-bedroom tomorrow (friends we had staying with us left). Nothing bad on Disney properties today, just lots and lots of rain, but tornado warnings were not far away and they are predictiing bad weather again for tomorrow. Still having a good time though...don't know how you can't at OKW. I reallly love this resort!

The weather in the Sunshine State has not been the best yesterday and today. The weekend is suppose to improve with sunshine and temps in the 70's. Yes, back to spring!
