Severe Storms Around Here Today

We are under a severe thunderstorm watch and tornado watch until around 10pm tonight. They said the storms could cause problems up until midnight tonight. We are supposed to have very strong winds, large hail and possible tornadoes. I am scared to death of tornadoes and even bad storms. Of course, I don't get off work until 9pm tonight.

We've had a lot of rain and they have put out tornado watches for Crossville TN.

They just issued a tornado watch for my area until 10:00pm. Most of the state of Indiana is under a high risk for severe weather. I HATE storms!

Is this weather strange for this time of year or is it just me? I never remember having to worry about tornados and severe storms (aside from snow) in November.

It's insanely windy out today!! Sometimes the gusts are so strong you feel like you are walking into a brick wall! We got a little snow as well and it's chilly out, but I'll take this over hot weather any day!

Looks like it will be a bad evening and rest of the afternoon. My dad is with our house in mississippi bracing for severe storms there. If its not one hurricane or tornado its another.

To answer the question about all this severe weather being unusal. It really isnt. November through Feb are severe weather season for the Lower Mississippi Valley. What is unusal is the tornados that far north. Usually its more south MS and Texas and LA. Not that far north. Even though the big spring severe weather season is biggest for Mississippi Valley and Midwest this is another bad season. They call it fall severe weather season, technically goes November until FEB and then Spring Season starts March through May.

Severe weather here too today. Tornado watch and they are calling for severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Some winds could be up to 80 miles an hour. Then, here's the kicker....snow tonight and tomorrow morning! Seems mighty strange (not the snow part) to me for November! I hope you all stay safe!
