Up fairly early again this morning and leave at 8.05 to get the bus to MK. We wait nearly 20 minutes, 1 MK bus goes by full and standing so doesn't stop at the Springs. We jump on the next one which is completely empty. They have staff on duty at the bus stop with radios and I presume he called in an extra bus to pick us up.
We are in Magic Kingdom by 9.05 after lengthy bag check queues again. We are not in any hurry this morning so we pose for a few piccies before heading to the right of the park to see if there are any rides with no early queues as we assume the crowd have gone to Anna and Elsa or the Mine Train.
Attitude!!
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger is a walk on so we go and exercise our trigger fingers!
Next stop is the favourite Haunted Mansion with only a 5 minute queue.
Then Pirates of the Caribbean with a walk on (still lame though!!)
We have a browse around the Emporium and then take a break for an early lunch. We have found that by getting lunches around 11 o'clock you miss the crowds at the QS outlets and can usually get your food and eat in relative peace and quiet.
From Cosmic Rays we grab various burgers and cakes for desserts
Cosmic Rays is empty and very clean and tidy, not sure how long that will last
After lunch our first FP is for the Mine Train. Bypassing the 75 minute queue we ride and are finished within 10 minutes! Boy, it's a short ride. I'm sure the little ones love it but really not worth more than a 20 minute wait.
Our FP opens up for Splash mountain, not too wet on this one, unlike the flumes at Islands of Adventure
Paulet bravely manages one thumb up whilst holding on for dear life with the other hand!!! She doesn't like these drops!
We hunt down a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle and sit in the sun enjoying them.
Back over to Thunder Mountain for our final FP. How long has the photo's not been working here ? I'm sure you used to get pics, or maybe that's Paris, I'm confused.
We take a few more pics around the castle, admiring the new gardens.
We wander back down Main St and admire some ornaments, especially anything connected with Haunted Mansion.
Also check out the Halloween decs.
Grab a Mickey pretzel
We leave the park about 2.30 and get the bus back to SSR (15 minute wait) WE spend a few relaxing hours around the Springs pool before going back to the room to get ready for dinner.
Walk around to DTD and check in for our reservation at Raglan Road. Standing in the door way Paulet says she hopes we don't get put in one of the booths near here as you would be unable to see either of the stages, but knowing our luck with tables I await with trepidation.
We are led to probably the best table in the house!!!!! hurrah!!! We have a high top table near the bar with terrific views
We order a bottle of wine for Paulet and I and Jack has the Irish Provinces flight.
The bread arrives and its lovely. Irish Soda brad with a dip made of olive oil, brown sugar and guiness. Too sweet for Paluet but I love it.
We order Braised Beef for me, Lamb shank for Paulet and Sirloin steak for Jack.
Entree's are gorgeous. Exceptionally well flavoured food! Feeling already stuffed we attempt desserts.. Dunbrody's Kiss for Jack, Lemon tart for me and Bread and butter Pudding for Paulet.
We all struggle. especially Paulet which is a shame as she says its the best pudding ever!!!
We stay at the table for a while, not feeling rushed to leave by the staff, and enjoy the dancing and music and Jack and I have another wee drink before leaving.
The walk back is a struggle as we are so bloated, but very happy. It's been my favourite meal so far.
