Seven month planning question

I am planning on goign to SSR for a week next summer. Already have the plans made. But want to do a week at Vero too around July 6th on for about a week. What are my chances of getting Vero Beach at the seventh month window for a two bedroom..

Since I really want a two week summer vacation should I book two weeks now at SSR and then if I can get Vero cancel SSR well one week of it...?????

Not sure about that time being that close to the 4th.

But we leave on the 19th for a quick 2bdrm stay that started at about 6months out for a studio, The went to 2 studios a few weeks later,Only to end up a 2bdrm at the 5 month make.

I would always book the dates you want ( entire 2 weeks) then make any changes at the 7 month mark.

We do this now when tring to get into other DVC resorts.

Have you asked about this before? Is there borrowing involved, and will the VB reservation be fewer points than the SSR? Even if that should be the case, if you have any of the current years points, the CM should be able to pull those out as the "extra" ones, and if you are within a banking period, then that should be fine. If you couldn't bank them, then, well, it's a case of how many you would lose. I really think that SSR WILL be available at 7 months out, and I also think, just a bit less strong, that VB will be there for you to book!

Thanks I did ask this before. I really am worried. Have friends telling me that I will never get a ressie at Vero seven monhts out.. That is why I am compulsive about getting this thing booked...LOL!!!!!!!!

Well, the talk on this board relating to not being able to book in the summer, has usually been around HHI, especially because there are so few studios. No one knows what WILL happen, but I've used 2 years worth of VB points to book our vacation and that begins June 22, '08, so we're not your competition!

More Pixie Dust. Are you going to book SSR for the 2 weeks then switch, or will you wait it out for that second week. I know that I would call day by day for the VB dates, at least the first day to see what's what!

Thinking that I will book SSR for two weeks now and then if I need to drop the second week to get Vero then that is what I will do.. This way I ensure that I will have the two week vacation that I really want.
