This is all such great news!

I was suspecting something like this was up, since we were trying to convert our May 4 trip to the Spring Special... and there was no Spring Special availability at the CR for our trip dates. It was mysteriously just those dates (thru May 6) and just at the CR... everywhere else had tons of availability, plus other dates were plentiful at the CR.

So now this press event is announced and it's all clear. Disney had most likely blocked out half the CR rooms for press guests 3 months in advance... Where else would Disney put them up? Obviously the CR makes sense... it's right next to the MK and has the Convention Center.

We've since moved our trip to later in the mo to get the special... but this is just such wonderful news to get actual info about the event, and to know that the Aprils' and May'ers will most likely get to ride this.

FP+? Who cares! We'll be some of the first. I remember when Finding Nemo opened at Disneyland, we waited over 2 hours for it, but it wasn't a big deal. The energy of being one of the earliest to go on far overshadowed the actual wait.

We will be probably be there in the Fall. Hopefully this ride will be a good, solid D Ticket. It doesn't have to be the greatest thing ever, but after making us wait this long, it certainly shouldn't be a disappointment.

I would say temper your expectations. This won't be an E Ticket event, like Radiator Springs Racers.

We'll be there April 25TH to May 1ST. Maybe we will get to ride it this trip after all. But I would stay away on Press day.
