Seussical the Musical - Broadway Tour

Seussical the Musical is going to be in town this summer. I'm not real familiar with the show but my 8yo DD is a big Seus fan. Is it something kids would enjoy? They've been to Beauty & the Beast, Lion King & some ballet shows so I know that in general they like shows.

I think your dd would really enjoy this. Everything I have read is that it is quite fun and very Seuss-y. I saw several pieces about it on Rosie O'Donnell's show when she was starring in it and it looked like a lot of fun.

Alas, I won't be able to take dd this year as our new baby boy is due in May and I doubt I will be away from him for that sort of event at that point. I am hoping maybe dh or my mom will take her as I think she would really like it but I am sorry I won't be able to see it myself

It is coming here in March and I am hoping to go. I have heard that it is great for kids of all ages. I will let you know how I like it when I go Janette.

I saw it a number of years ago, Pre-Broadway, in Boston. It's my understanding that they have tightened up the show a bit since then. I really really enjoyed it. It is kind of a melding of several different stories, but they manage to weave them together quite nicely. I do remember it was long, but that is what they tightened up. I think your DD would enjoy it immensely.

Thanks I saw a few parts of it on Rosie a long time ago but couldn't remember if it was more for kids or adults. It will be showing close to her birthday I quess that can be her gift

We saw it a few months ago with our 7 and 10 year olds. We all enjoyed it. You can probably still pull up the thread I posted about it! My kids aren't big Seuss fans either - your daughter should really love it!
