Hello all!

We are new DVC members this year and did not have to pay MF's for 2014. Just saw the 2015 MF's were posted on line.

To set up the monthly payments from our bank account, we need to fax a voided check or account info to MA right? Is this the only way - no scan and email option? Is the fax number 407-938-4117?

I'm guessing that I should also include Member ID number and contract numbers. Is there anything else I should include?

Finally, will MA/MS send some sort of confirmation that everything is set up?

TIA!

You should call member accounting and verify everything that you need to include, also take down the persons name that give you the information. When I spoke with MA I was told I needed to fax (no other options) a voided check or my bank account and routing number along, my member number, and a letter indicating that I wanted my dues linked to the bank account. The letter needed to be dated and signed. After I faxed the information I was to call 24 hours later to verify that it had been received and processed.

There are free fax services for scanned documents. You can use one of those, if it is a lack of a fax machine that is the reason behind this question.

Call and verify, then check your bank account just after 1/15 and make sure it went through.

Faxes are SOOOOOOO 1990s

Couldn't agree more on the Faxes comment............wait just sec..............the 90's just did call..........and yes they do want their fax machines back! :rotfl2:

Can't believe in almost 2015 that they don't have a better way of doing this than by fax?!? :scared:

Thanks for the help!

Email really isn't secure. I would never email anything that included my personal info or bank account numbers. I work in the financial services industry and we do not email anything to do with bank account information - even if we encrypt the message.

Ha! My bad. Apparently it was the 80s that called according to the eFax banner ad at the top of the thread. :lmao:

And yet we can pay MFs online with credit or debit cards. Those never get hacked ;)

Yet, anyone can go to a fax machine and pull it off, and can see all your info. Email or adding your bank account info online would be much easier, and secure. Anything transmitted electronically can be compromised.
