Sesame Place: Worth the trip?

My niece is staying with me for a few day and I was thinking of taking her to Sesame Place on Saturday. She is 3 1/2. I haven't been there since I was 9, so I was just wondering if it's worth the $50. I have AAA and I see they offer discounts for admission.

we took the kids last year and travelled from nova scotia in a little tiny pontiac wave! lol 7 states in one day- oy! i thought it was worth it, locals told us it was a waste, but we had fun and the kids kinda did! for us it wasn;t a big hit in the water parts. dd has vision issues and it makes it hard for her. we did the character lunch and had fun. our daughter was almost 3 when we went...hey it was a year ago today! she really enjoyed the vapour trail coaster. they also had last year buy one day get one free, don't know if they still have that this year. also if there is anyone with special needs they will give you a day half price.

they've added some new water rides this year. we found the food on par, the second day we spilt a meal in an elmo bucket between 4 of us. prices for drinks nad such were on par with disney. the games were ridicoulsy over priced. 5 bucks per person to play one round.

so for us it was worth it, and now, go figure my little guy loves it, after we left there! lol

I live relatively close to SP and take my 6 year old niece there often (thank God for season passes!).

There was a time when SP was pretty icky. But I'd say over the past 5-6 years they've really cleaned it up and it's actually pretty nice now. We always have a good time there, and now they have the Count's Splash Castle which is a blast.

Just a warning...Saturday will be CROWDED, so get there early and rent a locker for the day! There's lots of stuff for the pre-K age group, so I think you'll have a great day!
