I posted this thread in another forum but wanted to post it here to get insight from Sea World fans to see if this is a good idea:

We are big Sesame Place fans and all of our kids have so much fun there. I received an email reminder yesterday about renewing our season pass. In that email was notice of a limited time offer to purchase the Super Grover Season Pass for $146.24 per person which not only gives you unlimited admission and free parking at Sesame Place for the season, but also unlimited admission and free parking at Sea World, Aquatica, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, and Water Country USA. I am strongly considering this offer. DH is a big Sea World fan (I posted another thread on that issue) and I have read that it is a great park for the whole family and it is a relaxed park to visit, especially since we will be in Orlando during the summer time. We are booked under the free dining promotion for our August WDW trip. I was thinking that we should just keep our AS Music family suite with free dining, cut down the number of days on our WDW park passes to just maybe two park days to do MK and AK, and take advantage of that Super Grover pass to go to Sea World and Aquatica which look really fun for my kids' age ranges. We would be cutting down our WDW park days because we don't want to burn ourselves out trying to do all four WDW parks and SW/Aquatica. Does anyone think this would be a good idea?

Of course it would be a good idea, when I first went to visit Busch Gardens in Virginia I upgraded my silver annual pass which only gave me admission to Busch in Tampa and Sea World in Orlando to the platinum which includes all the Busch/Sea World parks and waterparks as well as Sesame Place.By getting that pass you automatically have admission to 4 parks in Florida since you have a trip planned as well as your home park of Sesame Place and you never know, you could sneak in a visit to Busch Gardens in Virginia which is probably my favorite of all the parks.Amazingly the only park I don't get entry to is Aquatica, since I've always paid this pass with their EZ Pay monthly program I'm basically paying $12/mo which is the price from like 2003,when they opened Aquatica they gave me the option to upgrade my pass to include it so I would have gone from $12 to $16-$17/mo.Not being a Orlando local since I'm in S.Florida I chose to keep paying the $12 and just pay admission to Aquatica when I go.By the way it is a great waterpark and if I moved closer I would definitely upgrade my pass.

Thank you for your reply :thumbsup2 Do you think we will regret cutting down our time at WDW to just two park days in order to do SW and Aquatica? I just can't picture us dragging our four kids through all of those parks in a week, maybe if they were all teenagers, but not at this point.

That sounds great, two days at Disney and two at SW and Aquatica, especially since your DH loves Sea World. Also going in the summer a waterpark is a must,I went to Aquatica on one of the hottest days last year and I didn't want to be anywhere else as it was a beautiful sunny day but almost 100 degrees and feel like temps in the 115 range, when it's that hot going in and out of the water you don't feel the heat like you do at the theme parks where you're sweating all day.Just remember to bring your sandals as I had to buy some as the ground was like lava by noon.

Sounds like this would be a better deal than my Florida residents discount.

For the poster with VA platinum passes, ours are like a decade old and when we go to Aquatica, we get day passes, the FL platinum passes had to upgrade but we have been told it was included with the VA and other area passes. It is a pain but we have always gotten in.

I guess it makes sense, since I got my platinum in Sea World and being a Floridian they obviously expect me to use the pass more often than someone from other states. It's like people who get the platinum at Sesame Place or Sea World in San Antonion, they're paying like half of what it costs in the Florida parks.Next time I visit Busch in Virginia or the Sea Worlds in TX or California I might just get a new platinum pass with a new contract and cancel my current one since it's been month to month with EZ Pay for years now.

does anyone know if this pass would get you the discount at discovery cove that the other annual passes get you ($69 non swim and $169 swim)

the offer doesn't mention anything about Discovery Cove; only Sea World, both Busch Garden parks, Aquatica, Adventure Island, Water Country USA, and Sesame Place. You can always call Sesame Place directly to double check though.

This is what I am wondering as well -- if they do than this is an AMAZING deal!!!

No it doesn't get you anything other than the pass holders deal at DC and most of the passes I have see explictly say they do not include DC

Sesame Place Super Grover got you $30 off DC price for up to 6 people in dec 2010. contact dc for current
