Services at Orlando Airport

I ahould know this since Ive been through there so many times, but when you get off the plane are there those motorized 'carts' driving around to assist those unable to walk long distance? We're going down at the end of April and she has a lot of difficulty walking long distance due to breathing issues. And getting from the terminal all the way to the Disney Magical Express counter is a pretty good hike.....and too far for me to give her a piggyback ride. LOL

When you check in at the airport ask for assistance, they will forward the request to any transfer airports and your final distinction and usually have a golf cart thing waiting for you, or a person with a w/c waiting to assist you. Clarify what you want and maybe a brief reason. They use to send a w/c every time I asked, now I am smart and tell them a golf cart, because I am blind and can walk, but I hate if I only have 30 minutes to transfer planes and they are in different terminates or the long walk to baggage, because airports can be very confusing, so I ask for a golf cart to transport me from gate to gate and an assistance if my family is not there to help me get to baggage.

Golf carts are not available for transporting passengers. In the Main Terminal passengers may use the elevators, escalators and moving walkways to minimize walking distances. The roll-on/roll-off AGT (train) then transports passengers between the Main Terminal and the Airside Terminals (Gates Areas). The minimum and maximum walking distance on each airside are as follows:

Call the airline you are flying and tell them you need a wheelchair at the gate when you arrive and they will take you to ME...also arrange to have one for the return flight

And, as silvers mentioned, there are no electric carts at the Orlando airport.
Some airports have them and others don't, but you will be able to get wheelchair assistance at all airports.

This is a little off topic but what is an acceptable tip for the person helping you with the wheelchair?

$5-$10 or more, depending what [else] they do. Lower amount if it's 'just' wheeing me through the airport. More when they help with luggage at beginning or end, or expedite security. Still more when there's unexpected help like taking you/me shopping prior to departure .
