I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed any improvements in service at the TS restaurants since the changes to the DDP that removed the tip. Service was one of my big complaints when we ate at some places so I'm hoping that now that the servers have to work to earn tips that service has actually improved.

We didn't go until after the changes (9-20-08 - 9-27-08), but the service was our biggest complaint. Most servers would ask us if we were on the dining plan, when we said yes, they would walk away and we wouldn't see them again for 30 minutes. Our drinks were never even refilled at Hollywood and Vine, Tony's Town Square, Coral Reef, or Boma. These were also the 4 restuarants where they pointed out the tip was not included. We are always happy to tip where deserved, and we did not tip as well at the above 4 restuarants. We were blown away by the service at Le Cellier and tipped above 25%. We extremely disappointed with the service as a whole. These people were getting $15+ tip for our party of 3, I expected better service. We got better service from the waiter in the Chili's at the airport and only tipped him $6 or so.

We never use the dining plan and service still sucks. Welcome to 21st century disney.
