Server busy, try later.............

I have had enough of this server busy crap, you read a post, try to respond and type out your opinion and try to send only to get the " server is busy " comment. Who has the time to read posts and answer later. Its a big waste of time for how many threads I like to read. Either fix the site so it works properly or pull the plug of the deal. This has been going on for at least a week. Anyone else getting tired of having not being able to read threads and posting because of the "server is busy" message ? Does it tick you off, wasting your time applying to this site forum ??

While it is annoying, I'm pretty sure that if you hit the browser's back button, you should be able to go back without rewriting. You can simply try to hit the Submit button again when you see your post...

Also, sometimes your response gets through and you get the "Server Busy" message after the redirect, so you haven't lost anything.

Be patient, though. DIS asks nothing from this community financially speaking, offers up a lot of disscussion forums, has hundreds of thousands of registered users, tons of information, and it's shocking to you that they're running out of bandwidth? If you paid a $50 per year subscription, I could see the complaint, but they're doing a solid job on limited resources. Occasionally having to hit the back button or reload is a pretty small price to pay.

And waste of time? Being on here in the first place says you have a little free time to kill...

This seems to be happening more frequently lately. I'm not mad enough to start hitting the computer but it is quite frustrating. I usually only have a limited amount of time to be on here and I want to make it count. I love the DIS, just hate getting that message!

I've tried hitting the BACK button, nothing happened. As for being angry about it, yes its annoying, but like its already been said, we have a free service and I for one have gained a lot of info not available in books I have had to buy. Being able to ask a specific question relative to your interest has been invaluable. I say thanks for the service.

It keeps happening to me to, on nearly every thread I try to open at a certain time of day. It is really annoying but i'm still really grateful for this site. Don't know how i would control my WDW obsession without it.

What I have been doing to slove this problem, is hit the refresh icon and the page comes right up.

I turned off the option to show signatures and that took care of the problem for me...all the huge signatures on this site are a waste of bandwidth and should be removed.

Another site I belong to limits your signature and I am very, very glad for that...things would move much faster (both loading and reading-wise) if those were eliminated.
