Dear Daughter's band is being interviewed tomorrow on Frosty, Heidi, and Frank (a nationally syndicated radio show). Juicy Newt will be featured on their Friday “Should I Stay or Should I Go” segment. This is a situation clearly not without its risks -- the grrrrlz will be so disappointed if they get panned but HEY! even bad national publicity is better than NO national publicity. :thumbsup2 Their 1st LA gig is scheduled for next month and I am SO excited for them. I think this show also streams on the web...
...so :rolleyes1 ... if anybody just happens to have some free time around 1:00 tomorrow PDLST, I happen to know where there will be three :dance3: young hungry creative rock musicians who'd be tickled to take your questions live on the air. The show's call-in # is 888-520-9710. WOO-HOO!

Cool beans! :cool1:

Wonder if there is anyway to get a clip on Youtube?

Thats fantastic , any idea where on the web they might broadcast . Whats the station name and call sign?

I hope they enjoy themselves!

So???? How did it go? I was a bit busy at work and couldn't check it out. Are they going to be famous soon?

Thanks for asking...I thought the interviewers were trying a little too hard to imitate Howard Stern (eeeeeeWWWWWW:scared: )
Here is what my daughter had to say in the band's myspace bulletin after the show:
Stop it!! No one died.
Hello friends,
I hope some of you got to catch our natinal radio debut. it was rad. Today we were on the frosty heidi and frank show on Free FM in LA (syndicated). The segment is called "should I stay or should I go." Basically, they played a couple of our songs and then opened a forum for critique. We got creamed. Other than a few of the callers who had some nice things to say we were told to hang it up. The following is my response to that. First of all, our music is for us. Everything we write is personal. If someone else can relate to it or digs it, then that's awesome but that's not what we're about. As soon as we start playing what we think other people want to hear then the self expression aspect is gone. The art is gone. Secondly, exposure is exposure. Potentially, millions of people could have heard us today. That's huge!! If 10 of those people liked it then I am more than satisfied. I want to meet those people. Lastly, I just want to say that I think Juicy Newt is amazing... And I havn't been wrong about anything yet. We've definitely got something here. Hold on, we're on our way!

Oh yeah, I asked permission to post the segment here so if you missed it you can still catch it soon I hope.

Sarah........Juicy Newt

I wouldn't worry about the bad reviews. Half the time the folks who listen to those shows just want to have something to complain about anyways :)

Thank you, Mr Conck (and everybody else too, of course ;) ) for your kind words. Even though in my heart-of-hearts, I still crave an opportunity to poke those three show-hosts in their collective So-Cal snotty potty mouths, the Grrrlzzzz are taking the moral high road and so I guess I hafta do the same. :rolleyes1
