Completely agree! Another DIS'r some time ago (can't remember the name) posted he would love to hear John read the Night Before Christmas because of his gorgeous, mellow voice.

Maybe there is a little Give Kids the World fundraising thing/possible idea in that if John had any time at all before the busy Holiday Season to record a reading for us.

I know many would also love to hear Craig & Ryno recite a little Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

It is an incredibly busy time for them before the Holidays, but it would be absolutely grand. Other worry might be copyright issues (but not sure about that part).

Think they'd be okay with Night Before Christmas as it was published in 1823 - so probably safe to say it's in the public domain .

But that would be amazing, you could have a video of him sitting in front of a big log fire in a smoking jacket , next to a side table with a glass of sherry and Mince Pies (Sweet mince pies, not minced meat. I'm not sure if you have them at Crimbo in the US, but they are a big hit over here in December, Oliver can sort it out lol )

Mince pies aren't that difficult. You can find jarred mince meat (I prefer the Crosse and Blackwell). I have a couple of tart tins, a basic sweet pie crust dough works. Just don't use too much mince meat.

I think it would be a great reading. John has a wonderful voice.

Yeah, I think my stepmother - who loved the sweet mince meat (and preferred the Crosse & Blackwell as well as Dundee orange marmalade, which came in a crock which she used as pen/pencil holders - LOL) liked the sauce too - think she called it "hard sauce"?

I love everyone on the podcast, but @WebmasterJohn's sense of humor is definitely my favorite. I definitely think there's a market for him and Kevin to do audio commentaries a la MST3K. It's time for a DIS/RiffTrax collaboration.
