Seriously Considering Add On

I want to add on 25 points. I am financing 160 pts at my home resort of AKV. I want to add on 25 points at SSR. I have a couple of questions before DVC guide returns my call.

Can I do this?
I will be able to combine the points to use at any DVC resort, correct?
Will I get the same UY(June) as my AKV points?
These are not two seperate contracts, correct? Just one contract with additional points?
I would pay two seperate maintanence dues, correct?

I am still confused as to whether or not I can add on at a different resort. Maybe I have to purchase a whole new contract?

Yes you can do this.

If you buy from DVC you will get the same UY

You will still have your "master" contract

AKV will show contract #.0
SSR will show contract#.1

MF's are on the same bill, different line items for each resort

X amount of AKV*AKV MF's
x amount of SSR*SSR MF's

Don't know about that, but they might have to set up a 2nd transaction for the add-on.

Between the 11 and 7 month marks, the points can only be used for reservations at their respective home resorts. At 7 months, they can be combined to make a reservation at any resort.

Yes, they will deduct the additional amount in 1 transaction.

I want to emphasize what JaxFLBear posted. In the 11-month booking window, you will have 25 points to use at SSR and 160 points to use at AKV. You will not be able to use the 25 SSR points at AKV (or the 160 AKV points at SSR) until the 7-month window opens. Once you are within 7 months of your check out date, you can use all 185 points from both resorts to book at any DVC resort.

You can also bank and borrow your 25 SSR points to have a total of 75 SSR points to use in the 11-month window at SSR every three years, or just bank or just borrow to get 50 SSR points to use in the 11-month window at SSR every other year.

Thanks for all the help. I really needed to know that.
I guess the fact that I can't use the points at the other resorts until the 7 month window opens does affect my decision.
So then really for 25 points, I may just as well add it to my home resort and have more point available at 11 months because I can always wait and see what rooms I can get at SSR at 7 months.
Nothing I can do with only 25 points anyway with an 11 months window.
