I don't know if this info will be timely enough since the grand opening will be on the 5th. However, the entire time I visited EPCOT last week, the Soarin standby sign posted wait times of 90 to 122 minutes. Everytime I was there I asked the CM's (I know it must get annoying to them) if the wait was REALLY that long...they winked at me and said NO. Annnd, everytime I walked into the line, there were only 15 to 20 other people there. I think they are trying to keep large numbers of people away from the ride during the soft previews.

Therefore, don't be perturbed during these last couple days of previews if you see a 2 hour wait time. Ask the CM's politely what is going on.

Now, once the ride officially opens, I would expect 2 hour standby wait times well through the Summer during peak times. Get a fast pass for it first thing in the morn after it opens for good and then head to Test Track and Mission Space for a ride before those lines get out of hand.

We were at Epcot on 4/21 and 4/24 and although there were only 20-30 people in the standby lines, the CM's in the loading area (not the ones at the first entrance) were announcing long waits of up to 2 1/2 hours due to "technical difficulties". The fast pass line had waits of 20-30 minutes so I believe the stand-by lines probably were that long both days.

Hopefully they will get everything working more smoothly before our June trip, but I was very glad to be able to hold multiple fp's those days.

I have been there on the weekends and weekdays quite a few times and there were long lines for Soarin. I walked right past them in the fast pass line. So I don't know that I believe the CM you talked with.

Today Soarin was pretty much a walk on this morning. There were loads of us just going back on the ride. They were using the left side which they hadn't used any of the other times I was there. So once it opens and they are using both sides they should be able to handle quite a few people.

But get a fast pass when you get to the park. You are going to need it. Everyone is still clapping after their ride on Soarin.

We rode it on 4/20 and waited a little over an hour (met the NICEST guy in line too---Hi! if you're out there) :)

Anyway, there were way more than 20-30 people in line and as soon as we did the ride and it stopped---you could hear everyone say "is that it??"

Too fast of a ride, especially for that long of a wait.

Looking forward to Soarin' in September when we go!!

We waited about 45 minutes, on the 23rd. Which is about what the time said.

We rode it on Sat. 3 times, with fast passes, in about 1 1/2 hours.

Great ride!!

We went to Soarin' shortly after Epcot opening on Sunday the 25th and the sign showed a 35 minute wait. The CM told us it really was that long so we got a FP then walked over to MS & right on. After that we killed some time in the exhibit area until we could get a FP to TT, then it was our FP time for Soarin' & we got right on it. It was a neat ride but I wish it lasted longer.

We rode Soarin last Thursday twice. We got fastpasses both times cuz we're spoiled and didn't want to wait in that 35 minute standby line ;) The standby time posted definitely looked accurate. The ride was well worth the wait. We all clapped at the end of both rides. It was fantastic. My mom even thought it was incredible. She said she was more queasy coming out of the movie in France (a real snoozer) than she was with Soarin (she wasn't queasy at all) and she's on that can't normally do rides like that. We all loved it, and it's my new favorite ride in Disney. I did not see the stacking happening at all the day we were there. They were however, saying on that board in the middle of Future World that the preview was closed, but it was very much open.

We rode Soarin on Sunday (5/1) 2 times in about an hours time and then grabbed a fastpass before going over to MS which only had a 20 min wait. TT had stand-by wait of 45 min and the FastPass were already pushed out to 4:30 at 12pm.

Soarin is definatley worth the wait, talked with a CM during Illuminations cruise that night and said Soarin would most likly be changed after the celebration to Florida Theme or even Film clips from the WS countries. He also told us that they are working on some sort of parade for EPCOT for the 25th anniversary (2007)

Also got to be Grand Marshall in Saturdays (4/30) MK parade, it was the coolest thing in the World.

We were at Epcot last week (04/27) and at 9:15 am, I ran over to The Land to get a FP for Soarin'. The Castmember there said, "You need a Fastpass? How many do you need?" He then handed me 3 fastpasses! Woo hoo! That allowed me to run (okay, I didn't really run...I walked very, very fast!) over to Test Track and get Fastpasses there! (And take my word - that is one long walk!)

Anyway, that was great - to get "free" fastpasses! A magical moment! ::MickeyMo
