Does anyone have information on these World Showcase Tours, or where can I find info. Thanks in Advance

My DH and I did these- what kinds of questions do you have?

I dont know if you own an AP- but keep in mind you get a discount.

The first hour is spent learning how to use in (in the Inoventions building I believe) and the second hour is following behind a guide (like ducks in a row) through the different lands in Epcot. - no speeding- they get very touchy about that- or doubling up when coming into Future World after the park is open.

Heres a pic I stole off jimmyj's siggy

Best friends just got back from WDW and did the Segway tour and just loved it!!! They had a blast using the segways and can't wait to do the tour again!!! Have fun.

My DS was totally won over by these when they first appeared in Innoventions years ago. So glad to see they are doing something like this with them.
We can't wait to do the tour next trip!! What is the cost???

The cost is $80 per person for the 2 hour tour but there is a 15% discount available for AP's and AAA (makes it around $68). The Human Transporter is an amazing device and the tour is well worth the price. The time does pass quickly, though.

Is it just about the Segway or is it a great way to see World Showcase without wearing yourself out?

My sister and I will be going to Disney March 11-15. We are going to do something difrerent. We reserved 2 spots on the Segway Tour around the World Showcase at Epcot. Any tips or things to remember about using the seqway will be appreciated. Can't wait to get to Disney. :cool1:

We did the tour in October and it was fantastic! I hope you like it as much as we did. :thumbsup2

We did the tour in October and we had a blast. It was the highlight of our trip!!! We were able to get the AAA discount and we paid $68 per person. It was well worth the price.
jjsmama, You first learn about the Segway and how to ride it. They have you practice indoors, driving around cones, etc. Then you head over to WS for an hour of riding through the countries. We took the early tour, so WS was still closed. It was cool to be there with no one else (except the folks washing the walkways with high powered hoses) around. The guides do give little inside tips about the pavilions. We had a chance for a "free ride" and pictures (the ones you have seen in this thread) in the plaza outside Italy.
RUNRT01, The Segway is very easy to learn to ride. It almost feels as if it reads your mind pixiedust: You move backward or forward by simply shifting your weight on your feet a bit in the direction you want to go. The hardest thing for me was to learn to stay still :rotfl2:
It is a blast. Enjoy

I just booked this trip yesterday for our vacation in a few weeks. I am so excited that I got my first choice this close to leaving. Everyone who has been on it loves it so I know I will too! :cool1:

Segway is very easy to learn and ride. We (DH DD13 and I) did the Segway tour of downtown Chicago in the fall and it was terrific. Tried to find out if we could to the EPCOT tour since DD will be 14 and has ridden one, but Disney seems set on the minimum age 16 rule. I'd recommend it to anyone tho--WDW would be a great place to do a tour..maybe next time for us!

The Segway tour is really fun. It isn't really a detailed way to tour the World Showcase. You get to ride around it before it opens for the day but as far as going in buildings etc, you don't get to do that. I hope that one day we can do it again.

I am so excited that I got our first choice to ride the Segway. We are going on the 8:30 tour. I have always wanted to do it, and I finally signed up to do. Can't wait. I am so ready to go to Disney.

I think the Segway is neat looking.

Be aware at Epcot they do have you spend a good portion of your time- about half or a tad less than half learning how to ride and steer the Segway, along with basics like helmet, etc.

We did the Segway during the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot and it was a wonderful way to see all the countries in an hour. However, unless they have changed things you should note that they do not let you just "go free" all over the countries as the description of the tour might imply. There is a leader and a tail and you are suppose to stay in line. I wasn't interested in zigging and zagging, but wanted to see the flowers, so often I would wait as they did an exercise. They are very strict about rules. We had about 15 minutes of free time directly in the middle and for photos (which are wonderful to have them take) so be sure to bring your camera with you. I would also go early and when they call for the Princess Breakfast at the main gates (if you are going 1st thing in the morning) let them know you are there for the Segway Tour. If you are late beyond a certain point I dont think they let you enter the class.

Enjoy!

Almost forgot- the learning takes place "behind the scenes" not outdoors. It's been a while since we did it- Last year in May. But the parks open about 15 min after our tour starts so theres no safe place to really practice. They set up cones and ramps for your to practice on indoors.

Thanks for those tips. Looking forward to going.

I have a question. How do you get that graphics with the months that you have on your post.
