We did not expect much from this hotel but it was even worse as we feared.
I had a booking in the Disney Hotel for Christmas. As my son met a nice girl we decided to book a separate room for them in Sequoia Lodge.

We arrived on the 24 December and the lobby of the hotel really looked nice and cosy when we checked in.
At four o clock my ds and his fiancée called and told us how disappointed they were.
The room was smelly, dirty and the furniture looked like it came strait from a dump.

The closet doors were just ripped of and the table looked like somebody used it to chop wood .
On the window board we found used dirty earplugs that stayed there for four days. No housekeeping the first day either.
All the lodges smelled liked they just cleaned the sewer.

This all was nothing compared to what happened at night. (all nights)
Totally naked and drunk woman run op and down the hall ways, shouting screaming and drinking from Vodka bottles.

There male companions stayed in there rooms and shouted from there to these woman.
I leave it to your own imagination what happened in the rooms.
It was totally disgusting.
Never ever we will book a room there again.

Oh dear, sounds like you were pretty unlucky there. Are you going to complain or have you complained about it? What did they say?

My family & I have stayed there twice and we have been very happy with the rooms or even the guests who were there.

REALLY looking forward to it now. Must find a way of going without the missus and kids!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Goodness me?

Didnt he complain and get moved????

I'm very picky with hotels and found the SL great on both occasions I stayed - this isn't normal service your son recieved, and if he had gone to reception and complained about one of the many issues you;ve mentioned he would have been moved/re-imbursed.

I complained by E mail when we got home.

And no we are not after any kind of freebies. :lmao:

We will book again in the Disney Hotel next Christmas only this time it will be two rooms.:thumbsup2

The hotel was fully booked so there was no other room available.
I know this is not the Disney standard we are used to but we learned an expensive lesson.

As a matter of fact there are hotels that don't allow certain groups of people in their hotel.

Its a pity but the good ones have to pay for the bad apples in the basket

well that is just awful. im really surprised that they couldnt do anything to sort out the situation. tbh i havent heard of anything like that going on in any of the disney hotels and i cant believe they would put up with that kind of behaviour

Im surprised as well - surely someone must have complained about the other persons behaviour and surely Disney would do something about that.

As for the room itself -we stayed at SLodge in summer and really liked it but were in the main building as opposed to a lodge

Oh dear ........ hope it didn't spoil your son's and your Christmas break too much. :grouphug:

When we stayed at the Explorers over Christmas a few years ago there were loads of kids running round the hotel corridors being an absolute nuisance whilst their parents were completely oblivious drinking in the bar downstairs although nothing as :scared1: as your son experienced.

Unfortunately not everyone behaves as impeccably as us DISers.

actually - only jus remembered, one night we were woken bout 1am by stupid kids running up the corridoor banging on all the doors - i woke with a jump thinkin ds1 had fallen out of the bunk:scared1: but then realised, but by the time i got to the door theyd gone - just a corridoor of guests peering around all half asleep..... unfortunately there are alot of ppl who, as already mentioned, dont behave like disers!!:cloud9:

As said they stayed the most time in our room.

When this would have happened to my husband and me we would have left after the first night.

The sad thing is that Disney can not do much to improve the bad behavior of its guests.

Yes that is true :)

But if you complain at the time security can do something about it. Might take more than one visit to reception. But I have seen a couple with cases packed being escorted off the premises ;) So Disney will act if bad guests do not head the warning :thumbsup2

So sorry to hear about the bad experience sjaakie. Not the kind of behaviour you'd expect to be present in a family hotel anywhere and definately not at Disney ! I can't believe that none of the other guests complained I certainly would have.
The housekeeping or more to the point lack of it I can relate to, having experienced it on both stays, main building and lodge, now at least I know it's not just me.

For the ones that are hoping to see this "new parade" I saw a few of the "ladies" by day light. :scared1:

I'm sure I will get a permanent ban here if I would describe what my son saw at night.:rotfl: :rotfl:
