We've paid extra to stay in the main hotel and not one of the lodges, but I've been reading a couple of reviews online and a few have said that it can get really noisey as it's so big.

I'm just wondering what other peoples experiences are? I'm expecting it to be slightly noisier than the Cheyenne as obviously it's a big hotel instead of smaller buildings, but I'm a really light sleeper so I'm panicing now that I'm not going to get any sleep :sad2:

Didn't hear a peep from anything during our SL trip and I am fussy about noise!!

:) We have stayed at SL twice and never really noticed any noise apart from in the mornings -people going past bedrooms down to breakfast.

Thank you both. That is definitely reassuring. I can definitely handle noise in the morning, it was late at night that was worrying me.

We've stayed in the main building once and I never noticed it being noisy at all (I don't like noise as well), only in the mornings at breakfast time when the kids are running down the corridor.

Hee, probably my feet running to early breakfast so I can be the first in at EMH!!

we stayed in the main building as well and didnt find it noisy at all

Maybe if you were on the rooms on the ground floor to the left of the kids play area where the electronic doors are or on the main walkway corridoors to the pool but we've also never heard much noise other than once it gets to around the 8am mark and you can hear people making their way for breakfast. You could always request a highish up room and at the end of a corridoor so not so much people passing you.

When we stayed on the top floor of the Sequoia Lodge we only heard one baby crying the whole time we were there... We started to wonder if we had the whole floor to ourselves!

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling much better about it now.

:rotfl: I think I might've requested a ground floor room actually. We're going to have a buggy and I have a fear of lifts lol. I maybe didn't though coz I forgot to request a cot :lmao: I'm not doing very well at all :sad2:

Cool, great to know. When we stayed at the Cheyenne, the room next door to us had a very noisy and grumpy baby for a couple of nights we were there and everytime it started crying our wee one (9 months at the time) started shouting at it :rotfl: It would stop for a bit then start again

I can honestly say we have never ever had a noise problem at any of the Disney hotels, not even crying babies.
