Sequoia Lodge Lake View?

Has anyone stayed in a lake view room at the SL? It would cost me about £45 to upgrade and I wondered if it was worth it. Has anyone asked for an upgrade on arrival?

We stayed in a Montana room ( MAIN building) which I would recommend if you are going in Winter time; a good friend went for a standard room (in the lodges, far from main building) and found the room / ambiance to be very poor.

I would NOT pay more for a lake view - unless your party will spend MANY hours in the room every day.
I would happily pay for a Montana room instead, because we like to be close to restaurants / lounge / bar / characters greetings ...

I am with Mickey's Dreamers here! I liked the Montana room as it was located inside the main building but we spent almost no time in our room to make it worth having a lake view room.

I like to sit out on the balcony of an evening with a drink and enjoy the view - but as only one or two (I think) of the more expensive suites have a balcony I wouldn't pay that much extra for a lake view without the balcony

It is a Montana room, as I figured an outside walk would not be the ticket in a Paris winter

You may get lucky. We booked a Montana room and when we checked in, we asked if we could have a room with one king-size bed rather than two doubles (having a king size at home means it's very difficult to go back!).

When we reached our room, it was not only a lake view, but also had a balcony - all at no extra cost!
