Sequioa Lodge question

Do the standard rooms in the Sequioa Lodge have an in Room Safe? I noticed I read that there is a safety deposit box at reception, but is there one in the standard rooms?
If not, does anyone know what standard rooms have a safe in them?

Hi,

We was in a standard room last month in the "big sur" house. There was no safe in our room. You could use the safes at the reception, if you need one.

There are no SD Boxes in the Standard or any Montana rooms, you need to use the reception one.

This service was ok for us, a must have - the only downside is that if they are "setting up" new arrivals, you could be waiting 20 minutes due to the fact they get them to fill the forms in inside the room rather than with their forms when checking in.

We have used the safety deposit boxes in reception several times with no problems at all in fact in many ways they are better than the room safes. The safes in the Hotel New York were tiny. The safety deposit boxes are available in varying sizes (so I am able to keep safe all my passports and car docs in my giant document folder with no problem).
Also you can leave everything safe in there after you have left your room on the last day and just return to collect it when you are going home.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the great replies. This helps a lot. I almost canceled the Sequioa Lodge to book at a different hotel with a safe. I guess this will be fine we can use the safety boxes at reception. Seems this will be more safe anyways for our electronics and our passports. Thank you all again very much.

I used the safety deposit boxes at reception as well and had no problems!

We stayed there and used the main safe at reception with no problems - easy to get stuff in and out when we needed to.
