Septmeber 25 Western Caribbean

Well, I am scheduled to sail on the Magic for the September 25 Western Caribbean Cruise. Is there anyone else on this forum scheduled for this crusie and any word on how severe the damage to CC was and if there is a chance that it may be down during this time?

His is a great board with fellow Sept. 25th cruisers. I have not heard any clear information on CC. But thought you may like to chat with fellow cruisers.

No word on CC yet and I think there won't be for a couple of days. The need the storm to clear out before they can send in the engineers that need to look over the island.

We are also booked on the 9/25 sailing. And God willing the hurricane season will take a break, at least until we get to Florida and get on the ship. We sincerely send our thoughts and prayers to everyone who has delt with this historic one two punch from old mother nature.

I'm sure it will be some time before we hear about CC. Since the 9/5 sailing of the Wonder has been cancelled and it is unlikely the 9/7 sailing of the Magic will go to CC, we'll have to wait and see when they start heading back out there. While the storm was pretty intense, maybe, just maybe CC didn't get too totaled. From what I read one of the biggest factors is the dock, which was re-built after Floyd. If that held up well, I'm sure that will speed the ships' return to the island.

I'm sure someone will post any significant information as soon as they hear it.

We (DH and DD - 5 years old) are also on the September 25 Western Magic Cruise, weather willing.

We will be at the Raddison on Friday afternoon and are interested in meeting up with others going on this cruise!

Okay, fellow 9/25 Western Cruisers, who will be watching these boards religiously when the Magic sails on 9/11 for the last Western itinerary before our to see what port (if any) she sails to instead of Castaway Cay? Raise your hands.

I know we will. And it may be in vain, but we are still hoping that we will still call at Castaway Cay. After all it is a little less than four weeks before our cruise is do there, maybe a serious amount of pixie dust will salvage that trip. Barring any further problems from hurricanes, like Ivan.

Let’s hope the Caribbean gets this all out of it’s system before the end of the month.

Thanks so much for the welcome! It's nice to be "here" with fellow Disney and Disney Cruise lovers! We are counting the days to cruise. DD anxiously awaits the "club" and DH is still hopeful for CC (power of positive thinking).

allears, we too are wondering what other destinations they may have in store for us if CC is not available; will be interesting to see what happens on the next western!

We just can't wait to go, so we will just be happy to get on a ship and sail and make new friends!

Thanks for all of the messages. This will be our second sailing on the Magic. Our first sailing was on October 6, 2001 and due to another tropical storm we were able to go to Castaway Cay twice. In fact, this was the first sailing of the Magic that got to to Castaway Cay twice. We also skipped St. Maarten and went to San Jaun. It was awesome how Disney took care of us.

If this sailing doesn't get to go to CC I guess we are even. Any way, I am so looking forward to the trip! We go to Disney World a couple of times a year and had a blast on our cruise.
