We are trying to decide when to go to WDW in 2017. We are going to be celebrating my DS in law coming home from deployment. My DD is taking her MIL and it will be her 1st trip. We are thinking of early September (DSIL returns mid August) but, I don't want a crane around the castle, especially since it's the MIL's 1st trip. When does the crane go up to decorate the castle for Christmas? Will Labor Day week be a safe choice?

The crane arrived in mid-August this year. It's usually lowered during the day or at least before the Castle projection show and fireworks.
