we are going to WDW September 15th to 22nd, how is the weather typically there during that time?

Still hot, but not totally oppressive like it can be in July or August. 100% shorts and swimming weather. A great time to go though because the crowds are pretty low, so you are not out in the heat all that much just waiting in lines. :cool2:

Good question! I hear there could be a lot of rain. Is it hurricane season? Not to "rain on your parade"--we're going the following week.

We went Sep 4-12, 06 and it was VERY humid. There was at least one day where it was just hot; I could tolerate that, but when it was humid, uck, it was miserable! The low crowds were great though. It was hot enough that the next time we're able to go we would consider giving up free dining (which is great) to go in cooler weather (like Jan or Feb).

Hurricane season goes until the end of November. Not sure I'd allow that to dictate my vacation plans. We go in October every year (sometimes early in the month and other times at the very end) and sometimes we visit the mouse again in November...never had an issue with hurricane worries. ;)

We go every year in mid-September. We've only had 1 hurricane experience since 1997. Hopefully, our luck continues. See you there!

We went end of Sept. in 2005 and it was indeed hot. My only advice is to plan to go early in the morning. Take an afternoon break and enjoy the pool, then go back again after dinner. We would go for a swim, shower and chill for about 3 hours every day. Twice we did either just a morning visit or just a late afternoon visit just to relax, enjoy the pool, do a character meal at another resort. This made the whole trip more enjoyable. Sure we missed some things, but we went back again in Dec. 2006. Although it was hot, we would go back in Sept in a heartbeat. Very low crowds and MNSSHP was a blast!

We went end of September last year. It was pretty hot still, but we lucked out and had little to no rain. Lots of love bugs though! My daughter was worried they would follow us home!

We were there at the same time last year and thought it was great. Gets very hot here in MO though so we might be used to it. It rained every day, but only for a few minutes and it cooled everything down. Other than the Hurriciane gamble (which stresses me out) it is a wonderful time to go!

We went Sept 2006. It was Hot and Humid! And we loved it. Like someone else said, the crowds are so low that you spend hardly any time in line and a lot of time in the AC! And you can't beat Free Dining!:cool1:

If you have any discomfort at all just take a long (free!) lunch and enjoy some things indoors! There are tons of things that require very little outside exposure!!

As far as Hurricanes go...I was worried about that last year! Since the Hurricanes took a break in 2006 I had no problems in that area. But if you are worried, just do a search in these forums for 'Hurricane" and you'll find out that they are mostly an inconvenience not a real danger for the most part. That said, I would change my plans if it lookd like a Cat 5 was headed straight there!!!

I can be a gamble to go in Sept but I believe it is the best time!!!!

Have a blast!!
