September Weather!!!

Hi!

I'm from Canada, travelled to WDW twice in November/December, and am wondering if it is OK to travel in September?

I heard there is a lot of rain and that might be a downer... any opinions???

We've been there twice in September and have been fine. September is in hurricane season, but we haven't run into an issue. Crowds have been very low both times we went in September because schools are back in session.

we went last sept. and it was great we we were in orlando 10 days and the only rain we had was arrival and it was over before we unpacked.

Is September similar to August, weatherwise? Are there Thundershowers every afternoon??

I too have been there twice in Sept and didn't have a problem with rain. Though one of the trips I did get stuck there for 2 extra nights due to hurricane Jeanne arrived.

We tend to get afternoon thunderstorms but they move on through fairly quickly. You'll have a chance of tropical weather as well but those stormy afternoons make for a nice break from the heat of the day and they don't usually start until 3-5 in the afternoon.

We go every two years in Sept. and love it. It is very warm though, usually in the upper 80's to mid 90's F. Expect an afternoon downpour, but these don't last very long. I buy a supply of the disposable rain ponchos and always carry one for each of us. We wear them untill the rain stops and then throw them away and enjoy the rest of the day.

If you don't let the weather get you down and just roll with it you will be just fine.....Remember to drink LOTS of water.
