September vs October?

We did October in 2018...21-26. The weather was beautiful. There was one morning we put on sweatshirts when we headed out, but otherwise it was t-shirts and shorts. Highs were in the low 80s every day. People keep saying the crowds in October are terrible, but it really didn’t seem bad to me. I’d go that time of year again except my son will be starting school in the fall. Maybe we’ll do it again when he’s out of the house!

Yeah it seemed like the heat wave broke right after we left....we left Oct 20 and the next week seemed like temperatures were much cooler.

We were there at the same time, just an extra day on either end. Weather was absolutely gorgeous and we didn’t find the crowds to be unbearable, but we also used judicious planning, rolling FPs, and mobile ordering. We never waited more than 20 minutes in line for anything.

That said, it was my first fall trip and barring unforeseen factors, will likely be our last during that time of year. MK closing early so much of the week for the parties was a lot more irritating than I anticipated, especially since we stayed at the Poly. It really put a damper on our ability to just pop into MK when we wanted. I will say the crowds the one night we went for HEA were absolute insanity and I was relieved we had opted to spring for the dessert party. The flip side was MK being a dream during the party day we didn’t attend.

tl;dr if you are MK centric people, really consider the impact of the parties on your plans.
