My husband, my 15 year old sister, and I are going September 10-17. The only time I have ever been to Disney in September was during the 9/11 tragedy, so I don't think that would be an accurate way to describe an "average" trip. Can anyone tell me what the crowds, weather, etc is like?
My husband and I went to Disney in August '09 and September 4 - 10 last year. We thought both months are fine but we prefer the hotter weather. However, there is PLENTY of AC throughout the buildings and there are outdoor areas you can go to that are shaded. What we did last year was go to the parks in the morning, take a rest in the afternoon, and go back in the evenings. This is nice because it breaks the day up and also allows you to enjoy the swimming pool at the resort. It is not overly crowded the beginning of September, just the right amount of people! You can also get better pricing on the resorts during this time. I say you only live once, go for it!
