Hi,

This is my first time on this board. I will be arriving at The All Star Movie Resort on September 8th and leaving the 15th. The last day, we have a late flight out and was hoping for some ideas on what to do until we have to leave. What will we do with the luggage. Our flight isn't until 7:30 p.m. We have a 7 day pass and plan to use it starting on the day we arrive, so it probably will be all used by the day we leave. Can we use the facilities at the hotel till we leave?

Thanks

Add a day to your pass- it'll be like 2 bucks :) Seriously.

The bellhop will hold your luggage in their little room (well unless you have ME with one of their prefferred partners- then you can check luggage at the hotel for the plane!)

For non park things to do- go visit Downtown disney- the market place has lots of disney shops and a little Margarita stand. Huge toy store(s).

You can visit some of the deluxe resorts- have breakfast at O'Hana (Lilo & Stitch) and then explore the Poly, take the monorail & visit the Contemporary & Grand Floridian. Take the boat from the Contemporary to the Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness (there's a petting Zoo at Fort Wilderness too).

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a treat too.

I still say add a day and say bye to WDW properly- crying through tommorrowland is how I usually say goodbye. I hate leaving...

Hello and welcome to the Dis!

You've picked a great time (crowdwise) to go to WDW, you will have a blast.

We also like to leave later on in the day on our departure day so that we can squeeze in as much of WDW as we can...

You can leave your luggage at the front desk, they will tag your luggage and give you a ticket stub to claim them once you are ready to leave. That is not a problem. If you are using Magical express to return to MCO and your airline is a participating airline, you can also get your boarding passes and check your luggage at the DME counter. Really easy and very convenient. We use it every time.

As to what to do on your departure day. You can add a park day to your park tickets for a few dollars each, really cheap. This will be useful if you would like to make a last quick visit to your favorite park. You can add days at your hotel, in the parks and DTD....really easy and worth it if you want to get a little extra magic before you leave.

You can still use the resort pools at the All stars. They have locker room with showers so that you can change once you are done.

We like to go to DTD and shop for last minute souvies, maybe ride the boats, take in a character breakfast at one of the resorts that we haven'T had time to visit...really lots to do!

Happy planning!

we plan to hang out at the ASMu pool. We will get up, shower and put on our swim suits.

Check out and leave our luggage. We are going to pack a change of clothes and a little bit of shampoo, bar of soap and our toothbrushes with tooth paste in our carry ons and keep them with us. So we can change and shower before hop on ME. Im taking a x-large ziplock for wet stuff.

This is our first time doing this. Can I bring my curlingiron and hair dryer on the plane? Are there plugs to use them in the bathroom that has the showers at the ASMu? Im also assuming we will be able to get towels at the front desk??? I think last year they only delivered towels to our room? Ill get them the day before just incase.

We will have a cs and a snack left. Will it still be good on our last day?
If we have a TS Im going to try to get into Ohanas for breakfast. I wont wait till that morning tho, Ill try to book a few days in advance.

If we get tired of the pool (doubt it) or if its raining we might head to Downtown Disney. But that usually means spending money, I might be broke by then...lol

TIA

:tinker: :tinker: :tinker: :tinker: Hope you are booking your meals, including character breakfast, now. It will save time later in not waiting for a table, or even worse, being turned away. Since you are going during the Free Dining offer, priority seating will be taken quickly. I am going that week, too, and calling for ressies this weekend. Good Luck!!!

As someone before ssaid it would be very cheap to add a day to your passes if you want or we ususally just make the last day apool day. You can use the facilities all day.

We always book a later flight on our last day, and we do Chef Mickeys for breakfast with all of the characters, and then go to Magic Kingdom and "say goodbye to the castle" and if there's time we'll do a couple of our favorite rides. I just think it's a neat way to end our Disney vacation.

We normally book an early evening return flight to get in as much time as possible. Like the others have said you could add another day in the park for very little. ( I cant remember the cost, but I think it was less than ten dollars) If I did allow myself a day out of the parks, I would probably take it mid week to sleep in and recharge myself. Maybe visit other Disney properties or just unwind by the pool, then do my last ticket day on the day that I leave

Your post didn't mention whether or not you have free dining for your stay. If you don't, it's something you should look into.
